Traditionally given as a wedding present, the original Carthen (bedcover) was made from Welsh wool and intended to last a lifetime and become a family heirloom. Our collection of vintage Mid Century Welsh blankets were mainly produced at a time when the tourist industry was booming in Wales. With their bold colours and eye catching designs, they were the perfect piece of Wales to take home with you.
