Welcome to the April edition of The Lancaster Company newsletter! We couldn’t be more excited now that Spring is here at last, bringing its lighter, warmer days and prompting beautiful flowers to come into bloom to create that Springtime freshness.

Springtime colourful jugs

‍For many of us the arrival of Spring creates a feeling of joy and excitement as we look forward to warmer months ahead. Distributing flowers around the home has always been a wonderful way to connect with nature and lift our spirits. With this in mind, we have various colourful jugs in stock which are useful not only for water for your Easter table, but also great for holding a  pretty bunch of flowers too. ‍The popular Splatter glass or ‘end-of-day’ glass as it is also known, a technique that has been used since Roman times, is hand-blown glass which has been rolled over a heated iron plate to pick up small chips of colourful crushed or powdered glass. The glass is then rolled smooth and shaped by blowing, often into jugs and vases.Splatter glass has been around for hundreds of years and is still popular to this day. This fabulous glass presents such timeless beauty, whilst the splashes of colour create a plethora of Springtime brightness.
