Welcome to the September edition of The Lancaster Company newsletter! As usual, summer has come and gone in a flash, and with all the rain we’ve had we’re very much hoping for an Indian summer (and to ease that ‘back to work’ feeling too). It also won’t be long before the colder weather makes us want to retreat indoors – so this month we thought we would share some of our lovely decorative items that will brighten up your home for autumn. We also share the dates for our upcoming fairs that we will be attending in the lead up to Christmas, so read on!
Vases come in many shapes and patterns, but we have never come across one quite as special as this Majolica pitcher. Made in Spain by La Menora Talavera, it is beautifully hand-painted with flowers and a rather flamboyant gentleman who adorns the front of this piece. The whimsical design makes this vase so unique.

Like vases, candlesticks vary extensively in their design. From classic silver-plated candelabra to more modern, colourful blown-glass candlesticks, there are many different varieties. One of our picks this month is this striking pair of blue glass candlesticks that would be perfect for a dining table or mantel piece. As usual, we will be travelling around the country to attend various fairs in the run up to Christmas. This is the busiest time of year for us, yet a time we really look forward to each year where we meet with familiar faces, along with new ones. It’s also a great opportunity to show you our stock in person, so we hope to see you there!
